Abstract

Flame retardants are one of the key raw materials for Copper-Clad Laminate(CCL),and their performance and compatibility directly influence the dielectric and other characteristics of CCL.This study analyzes the application of three mainstream flame retardants(Saytex 8010,Exolit OP935,DFE791)in ultra-low loss CCL,and explores their impact on the performance of CCL by comparing their performance in three key indicators:flame retardant effect,electrical properties,and copper foil peel strength.The aim is to thoroughly examine the impact of each flame retardant on CCL performance.The results demonstrate that both Saytex 8010 and DFE791 exhibit better overall performance and are well-suited for use in CCLs with higher electrical performance requirements.DFE791,being a phosphorus-based flame retardant,has better environmental advantages.Exolit OP935 has the worst overall performance,but it still has certain applicability in specific scenarios.
