摘要

Abstract

Objective To investigate the effect of casting Hyrax rapid expansion on the dental arch and jaw in the treatment of maxillary transverse deficiency,so as to provide reference for clinical treatment.Methods Twenty patients with maxillary transverse deficiency admitted to the Department of Stomatology,Xi'an No.3 Hospital from July 2021 to August 2022 were selected.All patients were treated with casting Hyrax expansion.CBCT evaluation was performed before and after treatment.To observe the changes of arch width,basal bone width,midpalatal suture width and maxillary first molar Angle before and after casting Hyrax expansion.Results After treatment,the dental arch widths between the maxillary first premolars and between the first molars in 20 patients were significantly higher than those before treatment(P<0.05).,the width of basal bone was significantly increased(P<0.05),the width of midpalatal suture was significantly increased(P<0.05),and the molar inclination was slightly changed,the results were not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion The width of the arch,the width of the basal arch,and the width of the midpalatal suture can be improved after the treatment of maxillary transverse deficiency by casting Hyrax.
