Relationship between pericarp development and accumulation of crude fibre content and endogenous hormones of Camellia oleifera

Abstract
[Objective]In order to provide a theoretical basis for guiding the cultivation of Camellia oleifera with thin-skinned,large-fruited,and high oil yielding varieties,the dynamic changes of pericarp morphology,lignin and other crude fibre components and endogenous hormone content at different developmental stages C.oleifera were studied,and the relationship between pericarp development,crude fibre component accumulation and endogenous hormones was discussed.[Method]In this study,two varieties of C.oleifera'Changlin 3'and'Changlin 40'were used as the research objects,and the morphological indexes of pericarp,pericarp crude fibre content(lignin,cellulose,hemicellulose)and five endogenous hormone content were determined at different times,in order to explore the dynamic changes and its correlation of pericarp content in the two varieties of C.oleifera.[Result]The growth rate of pericarp fresh mass of two varieties of C.oleifera showed a slow-fast-slow trend,and thus divided into three stages of C.oleifera pericarp growth and development,according to the changes in the growth rate of fresh mass of the pericarp,the two cut-offpoints of the pericarp growth and development process were in early June and early September.According to the pericarp thickness growth rate changes,2 varieties of C.oleifera pericarp growth and development process to April 10th as the boundary were divided into the early and late.The pericarp completed rapid thickening around 10th April,to 13th June pericarp thickness basically did not grow,pericarp fresh mass in early June only began to grow rapidly.The rapid synthesis and accumulation process of hemicellulose,lignin and cellulose in the pericarp of'Changlin 3'and'Changlin 40'were initiated successively,and the initiation time was around 20th May,the end of May to the beginning of June,and around 13th June,respectively.The 2 varieties of C.oleifera differed in the time of initiation,peaking and ending of rapid synthetic accumulation.Correlation analysis showed that the fresh mass of the pericarp and pericarp thickness of the two varieties of C.oleifera had strong positive correlations with lignin and cellulose content,and strong negative correlations with the content of ZT and ABA.The content of ABA and ZT in the pericarp of the two varieties of C.oleifera had significant negative correlations with lignin and cellulose content.The fresh mass and hemicellulose content of the pericarp of'Changlin 3'were significantly positively correlated with the ACC content of the pericarp,while the thickness of the pericarp of'Changlin 40'was significantly negatively correlated with the ACC content.[Conclusion]The growth and development of C.oleifera pericarp was determined by the synthesis and accumulation of endogenous hormones ABA,ZT,ACC and lignin,cellulose and hemicellulose.The synthetic accumulation of lignin determined the thickness of C.oleifera pericarp,'Changlin 40'has greater pericarp thickness,higher lignin content and longer duration of rapid synthetic accumulation of lignin than'Changlin 3'.2 varieties of C.oleifera in the basic completion of the pericarp thickening.C.oleifera pericarp fresh mass entered the stage of rapid growth,and the pericarp fresh mass of C.oleifera pericarp grew with the accumulation of crude fibre synthesis.The fresh mass of the pericarp of'Changlin 40'is larger than that of'Changlin 3',and the mass of cellulose,hemicellulose,lignin,and the total mass of crude fibre composed of the three was larger,and the synthesis and accumulation of crude fibre is crucial to the growth and development of the pericarp.The results of the study can provide a theoretical basis for the development of C.oleifera pericarp,and provide a reference for the cultivation of C.oleifera varieties with thin pericarp and large fruits.关键词
