Development of attitude and belief scale for the COVID-19 vaccination behavior among medical students and its reliability and validity test

Abstract
Objective To focus on the vaccination behavior of novel coronavirus disease(COVID-19),preliminarily develop an attitude and belief scale for the COVID-19 vaccination behavior,evaluate its reliability and validity among medical students.Methods Based on literature reviews,qualitative interviews,and expert consultations,the theoretical framework,dimensions,and items of the scale was proposed.By convenience sampling,a pre-survey was conducted on students of a medical university to form a formal scale.A large sample survey was conducted on medical students from four universities in Shanghai by using online survey method,and the reliability and validity were tested.Results The scale ultimately retained 6 dimensions,with a total of 31 items and a cumulative contribution rate of 68.96％.Cronbach's alpha coefficient of the final scale was 0.917.χ2/df=2.623,RMESA=0.041.Split-half reliability test showed that the Guttman split-half coefficient of the final scale was 0.790,and confirmatory factor analysis showed that all test quantities were within the standard range.Conclusion The attitude and belief scale for the COVID-19 vaccination behavior is scientific,reliable and valid,which can provide a measurement tool for future research on COVID-19 vaccination behavior.关键词
