Moving Beyond Traditional Communities
摘要
Abstract
Under the goals of sustainable development and inclusivity,community involvement has become a crucial aspect of the protection and management of world heritage.Since the inclusion of"community"in the 2007 Global Strategy for World Heritage,and the subsequent extensive incorporation of community involvement requirements in the 2019 Operational Guidelines for the Implementation of the World Heritage Convention,community involvement has become an important criterion in the evaluation of world heritage nominations for protection and management.In recent years,in the evaluation reports of the World Heritage Committee,community involvement has expanded beyond the residents around heritage sites,as some sites have expanded the scope of community to include the broader public.This paper reviews the evolution of community involvement in the context of world heritage,analyses the characteristics of community involvement reflected in the 2022-2024 evaluation reports from the perspective of the issues and groups involved,and explores future trends in community involvement amidst the increasingly complex challenges of heritage protection and management.关键词
