Professor WANG Youpeng's experience in treating pediatric pompholyx from the perspective of damp-heat
摘要
Abstract
This article summarizes professor WANG Youpeng's experience in treating pediatric pompho-lyx from the perspective of damp-heat.Professor WANG believes that the etiology of pompholyx is closely re-lated to dampness and heat.External factors involve the invasion of damp-heat,while internal factors are attrib-uted to dysfunction of the internal organs.The key pathogenesis lies in the combination of damp-heat affecting the skin and spreading to the palms and soles.Based on the theory of the relationship between constitution and disease,professor WANG emphasizes that a damp-heat constitution is closely associated with pompholyx.He proposes treating the condition by addressing damp-heat,using the method of"resolving and dispersing damp-heat"as the guiding principle.The prescribed formula combines Wendan Tang(温胆汤)and Yiyi Zhuye San(薏苡竹叶散),tailored to the specific symptoms,aiming to clear heat,resolve dampness,correct the imbal-anced constitution,and address both the root cause and symptoms simultaneously.Additionally,professor WANG emphasizes prevention and care for affected children,including maintaining a positive mood,reducing stress,adjusting dietary habits,and improving lifestyle.A case study is included to illustrate the effectiveness of this approach.关键词
