Abstract
The study of methylmercury(MeHg)contamination in wild and farmed fish can provide a reference for e-valuating mercury pollution levels in marine fish and assessing the risks associated with their consumption.In this study,we analyzed the MeHg concentrations of wild seawater fish from the surrounding waters of Daya Bay in Shenz-hen and the Pearl River Estuary and farmed fish from coastal farms in Guangdong,Furthermore,the relationship be-tween MeHg concentrations of grouper and pomfret and their individual size and feed coefficients was explored.It was found that the concentration range of MeHg in wild MeHg concentration was 26.3-188.0 ng/g(on dry weight basis)and that in farmed fish was 45.6-167.4 ng/g,which were both below the safety limit standard for consumption.There was no significant difference in MeHg concentrations between wild and farmed fish.Methylmercury concentra-tions in cultured pearl grouper and golden pomfret were correlated with individual size and feed coefficient,larger in-dividuals and feed coefficient resulting in higher MeHg concentrations.[Chinese Fishery Quality and Standards,2024,14(6):20-26]关键词
