Impact of Inflation on Decarbonisation Policies Under Competitive Equilibrium
摘要
Abstract
This paper is based on the sustainable financial mandate that investors need to invest in decarbonised emission reduction firms.The problem of maximising the expected utility of the representative agent and the expected real value of the firm is inscribed based on the real value of the capital stock discounted by inflation.Firstly the dynamic programming principle is used to derive the Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman(HJB)equation satisfied by the value function of the stated problem under inflationary uncertainty.Secondly,numerical simulations of the equations satisfied by investment,consumption,carbon abatement and social welfare are conducted.The conclusions show that an increase in the degree of inflationary uncertainty reduces the effectiveness of decarbonisation and abatement policies,leading to a reduction in decarbonisation and abatement expenditure and a corresponding reduction in the level of social welfare,and that it is thus necessary to take into account the impact of inflation risk on decarbonization and abatement strategies under a warming climate.关键词
