摘要

Abstract

Self-limited epilepsy with centrotemporal spikes(SeLECTS)is the most common age-dependent,self-limited focal epilepsy of childhood,characterised by interictal centrotemporal(Rolandic)spikes on the EEG.Although SeLECTS is considered self-limiting,some children have cognitive deficits in language,reading,visuospatial,executive function and attention.These deficits may be related to abnormalities in functional connectivity(FC),which can be paradoxically increased and decreased in different brain regions at the same time.This paper briefly introduces common functional connectivity research methods,summarises the strengths and weaknesses of these methods,and also summarises the research progress of FC in SeLECTS over the past years,with the aim of exploring the potential of FC as a biomarker for predicting cognitive and seizure outcomes.
