Deconstruction,Hybridity,and Intertextuality:Postmodern Representations of Female Characters in Contemporary Chinese Animated Films

Abstract
Since the beginning of the new century,Chinese animated films have gradually constructed postmodern representations of female characters within the context of cultural globalization and digital technological innovation.This process unfolds through three perspectives:firstly,by deconstructing traditional narrative paradigms to break free from patriarchal discourse,thereby establishing a multidimensional interpretation of the female subject;second-ly,by blending cross-cultural symbols to facilitate a dialogue between traditional motifs and cyborg aesthetics,thereby reconstructing fluid gender identities;and thirdly,by employing hypertextual intertextuality to construct a polysemic narrative network,thereby dissolving the definitive referentiality of visual texts.Throughout this process,both the binary cognitive structure of Orientalism and the male gaze are subverted,while a new spectrum of female characters with cultural subjectivity is shaped through the digital empowerment of traditional cultural translation.This practice not only reflects the paradigm shift in contemporary Chinese gender discourse but also reveals the dy-namic relationship between cultural production and identity politics in the digital age.关键词
