Abstract
The residential traditional block is a neighborhood with both historical and cultural value and residential function.Currently,the preservation and renewal of the residential traditional blocks pays more attention to the material space,which although improves the general use value of the block in serving the life of the residents,also neglects the need for the inheritance of history,culture and regional features of the block and also the need for social harmony governance.The paper integrates the five topics of"people","culture","land","landscape"and"industry"for the construction of the community and also the organization and design experience into the framework for the preservation and renewal of the block,and then proposes the specific design strategies from the aspects of space,society,culture and organization.Taking Suzhou No.32 Block as an example,it explores the application of the strategies for the preservation and renewal of residential traditional blocks from the perspective of community construction,providing a reference for the solution of the problems in the preservation and renewal of residential traditional blocks.关键词
