Abstract

The shield machine main bearing is a key support component of the shield machine,which will lead to serious consequences in case of failure.In order to effectively assess the operating condition of the shield machine main bearing,the main bearing can be monitored in real time by using sensors built into the hollow roller to form a smart roller.The traditional theoretical model cannot accurately reflect the force state of the smart hollow roller under real working conditions,so in order to analyze and monitor the smart hollow roller more accurately,it is necessary to establish an analytical model of the mechanical properties of the smart hollow roller.Based on the curved beam theory,by combining finite element analysis and experimental data,it is found that the strain at the inner hole vertex of the smart hollow roller is directly proportional to the uniform load and presents a nonlinear relationship with the hollowness.An analytical formula describing the relationship between load and strain of the smart hollow roller under axial load is proposed.This formula is more accurate in fitting the relationship among strain,load and hollowness at the axial middle position of the smart hollow roller's inner hole.Based on this formula and the strain data collected by the strain gauges inside the smart hollow roller,the force on the roller can be quickly and accurately calculated,thereby assessing the life of the bearing.
