摘要

Abstract

Coronaviruses(CoVs)have attracted widespread attention due to their serious threat to human and animal health.Griffithsin(GRFT)has become a scientific hotspot due to its antiviral properties in combating coronavirus infection.This review focused on the glycosylation of coronavirus envelope proteins,the structural characteristics of GRFT and its antiviral mechanism,summarized the research progress of GRFT on human and animal coronaviruses,and analyzed the advantages and challenges of GRFT as a po-tential anti-coronavirus drug.In the future,the combination of multiple antiviral components and the opti-mization of GRFT delivery system will further enhance its application potential in human clinic and veteri-nary fields.In addition,combined with gene editing technology,it is expected to reduce the production cost and improve the therapeutic effect of GRFT,providing new strategies and methods for global prevention and control of coronavirus diseases.
