Progress on the Structure and Function of Sacculus Rotundus
摘要
Abstract
The sacculus rotundus(SR)is a thick and enlarged sac formed at the junction of the terminal ile-um and cecum in rabbits.It is mainly composed of rich lymphoid tissue and is a unique peripheral immune organ in rabbits.Sacculus rotundus plays an important role in the physiology of rabbits,which plays many physiological functions such as digestion and absorption,immune defense,and neuroendocrine.This paper summarizes the structural characteristics of sacculus rotundus from the aspects of anatomy,histology and imaging,reviews the research progress of various physiological functions of sacculus rotundus,and the re-search and application of sacculus rotundus antimicrobial peptides are summarized and prospected.The sac-culus rotundus has a unique structure and complex functions,which have important research value and ref-erence significance in scientific experiments.It also has broad development prospects in practical applica-tions.This paper aims to provide reference and guidance for scholars who study the sacculus rotundus in the future,and to provide theoretical basis and support for the clinical diagnosis of pet rabbit diseases and the research and application of the sacculus rotundus antibacterial peptide.关键词
