Abstract
Objective:To investigate the tips of camera-holding for gasless transaxillary endoscopic thyroidectomy.Methods:A total of 158 patients who underwent gasless transaxillary endoscopic thyroidectomy from Aug.2021 to Aug.2023 were included.The sur-gical procedure was performed based on the‘Ge-Zheng seven-step method’proposed by professor Ge Minghua and Zheng Chuanming's team,combined with the mesenteric resection technique proposed by professor Lei Shangtong's team.The camera-holding method was"upper arm path as the main approach and under arm path as the auxiliary approach".Results:All 158 patients successfully completed the operation without conversion to open surgery.The mean operative time was(95.00±7.00)min.No injuries to the superior laryngeal nerve,recurrent laryngeal nerve,trachea,esophagus,or internal jugular vein were observed,and no postoperative bleeding or permanent hypoparathyroidism occurred.Postoperative complications included clavicular effusion(1 case),subcutaneous congestion(1 case),sternocleidomastoid muscle edema(1 case),and skin numbness in the clavicle area(20 cases).Pathological results showed 123 cases of papillary carcinoma with a mean tumor diameter of(8.29±3.64)mm and 35 cases of benign diseases.Conclusions:Mastering the tips of camera-holding can provide a smoother visual field for the surgery.Surgeons familiar with the tips of camera-holding can reduce maneuvers that affect the visual field,thereby completing the surgery more efficiently.关键词
