摘要
Abstract
Objective:To investigate the longitudinal weight loss trajectories of patients within one year following sleeve gastrec-tomy,categorize distinct weight loss profiles,and analyze the influence of preoperative factors on weight loss outcomes.Methods:A total of 810 obese patients who underwent sleeve gastrectomy were included from Aug.2018 to Jun.2023.Data on percentage of total weight loss(%TWL)of patients at 1,3,6,and 12 months after surgery were collected to construct growth mixture models.Analysis of variance or chi-square test was used for between-group comparisons of potential category subgroups,and multivariable logistic regression was used to analyze the relevant factors affecting the postoperative weight loss effect.Results:Three distinct weight loss trajectory subgroups were identified,designated as the rapid weight loss group(19.0%),the typical weight loss group(72.2%),and the slow weight loss group(8.8%).The results of univariate analysis showed that significant differences were found among the trajectory subgroups in terms of age,marital status,BMI,body fat percentage,hypertension,diabetes,glycated hemoglobin,fasting plasma glucose,total cholesterol,tri-glycerides,globulin,uric acid,and thyroid-stimulating hormone(P<0.05).Multivariate logistic regression analysis identified preopera-tive fasting plasma glucose,thyroid-stimulating hormone,and body fat percentage as independent predictors of postoperative%TWL traj-ectory subgroup(P<0.05).Lower fasting plasma glucose was associated with superior weight loss outcomes,while higher levels of thy-roid-stimulating hormone and body fat percentage were associated with more favorable weight loss trajectories.Conclusions:The weight loss trajectories following sleeve gastrectomy exhibit variability.Preoperative fasting plasma glucose,thyroid-stimulating hormone,and body fat percentage serve as crucial biomarkers for forecasting the effectiveness of weight loss one year after surgery.关键词
