Optimal Allocation of Fuel and Load for Co-Firing Units Based on Improved Slime Mould Algorithm

Abstract
In order to address the issue of load allocation in multi-fuel units of self-owned power plants in the steel industry,comprehensively considering the balance between the gas system and the boiler thermal system,a power generation cost model for co-firing units in a specific plant has been established.The objective function of the model is to maximize the o-verall economic benefits of the whole plant,taking into account the output constraints and fu-el limits of the units.Additionally,an improved slime mold optimization algorithm is pro-posed to effectively performs fuel and load optimization calculations within a wide load range.A case study is conducted using typical operating conditions of a self-owned power plant in the steel industry,and the results show that,under given dispatch instructions and the re-quired gas consumption,utilizing the improved slime mold algorithm for optimization can im-prove the economic efficiency of the units at different loads while ensuring complete utilization of by-product gas.关键词
