Abstract

[Objective]The soil nutrient characteristics and comprehensive soil fertility in major raw material producing areas of Mouding fermented bean curd were evaluated to provide a reference for scientific development and rational utilization of arable soil in Central Yunnan.[Method]The content of ten soil nutrients in the surface soil of Gonghe Town was determined by using field survey and lab analysis.The distribution characteristics of 10 soil nutrients were analyzed statistically and the comprehensive soil fertility was evaluated by using modified Nemero index method.[Result]The soil pH of farming area in Gonghe Town,Mouding County,was 5.78 with 0.72 times the soil background value.The nutrient sufficiency/deficiency levels based on pH were predominantly Level IV and Level V and the soil area with Level IV and Level V accounted for 75.89%of total soil area,which indicated that the soil presented weakly acidic.Compared with China's soil background values,the organic matter and nitrogen were significantly enrichment condition,boron and copper were moderately enrichment condition,phosphorus,potassium,zinc and germanium presented no significant differences,and selenium was relatively deficient.There were differences in content of soil nutrients between different land utilization types and between different soil layers.The distribution of soil nutrients was obviously controlled by the geological background and the content of soil nutrients in arable land(paddy field and upland land)was relatively higher in general.Except for selenium,the nutrient sufficiency/deficiency level of other elements was primarily Level I and Level II or Level III and Level IV respectively.There were correlations among soil nutrient indexes to varying degrees.Organic matter was positively related to nitrogen and phosphorus significantly.Nitrogen was positively and significantly related to P,Cu,Zn and pH value.Phosphorus was positively and significantly related to Zn.Potassium was positively and significantly related to Zn,B,Cu and Ge.Except pH was negatively related to Se weakly,pH was positively related to other elements to varying degrees but no related to Ge significantly.The comprehensive soil fertility was 0.37-2.22 with an average of 1.20 and reached the relative fertile level.The soil area with the soil fertility of Level I accounting for 1.44%of total soil area was scattered in Xujia,Zhouliuchen,Longmachi and Sanhuadong.The soil areas with the soil fertility of Level Ⅱ and Level Ⅲ accounting for 51.22%and 43.74%of total soil area respectively were widely distributed in Gonghe Town except for Xiacun and Wujiayao zone.The soil area with the soil fertility of Level Ⅳ accounting for 3.59%of total soil area was mainly concentrated in Xiacun and Wujiayao zone.[Conclusion]The pH of farming soil in Gonghe Town,Mouding County,Central Yunnan is 5.78 with a weakly acidic and the average comprehensive soil fertility reaches 1.20 with a relative fertile level.The soil area with the soil fertility of Level I and Level Ⅱ accounting for 53.66%of total soil area is suitable to large-area and large-scale soybean cultivation.
