Application of a three-tier management model in elderly COPD patients at primary hospitals

Abstract
Objective This study explores the application effect of a three-tier management model(Internet+Hospital+Community-Family)in elderly chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)patients at primary hospitals.Methods From September 2022 to February 2023,96 elderly COPD patients from our hospital were randomly assigned to control and re-search groups(48 each).The control group received routine management,while the research group was managed using the three-tier model(Internet+Hospital+Community-Family).The excellent and good rate of medical compliance behavior,lung function,and quality of life of the two groups were compared.Results The research group showed a significantly higher excellent and good rate of medication compliance,better pulmonary function,and improved quality of life than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The three-tier management model(Internet+Hospital+Community-Family)is highly effective in promoting medication compliance,strengthening pulmonary function,and increasing the quality of life in elderly COPD patients.关键词
