Abstract
Objective To explore the relationship between SOCS3 gene polymorphisms and childhood bronchial asthma,as well as its recurrence.Methods A total of 80 children with bronchial asthma who visited our hospital from January 2022 to January 2024 were included in the asthma group.Based on whether the asthma was refractory,the asthma group was alloca-ted to two subgroups:refractory asthma and non-refractory asthma.Additionally,80 healthy children who underwent phys-ical examinations during the same period were selected as the healthy control group.The distribution differences of SOCS3 gene polymorphisms at rs9914220 and rs4969170 loci between the asthma group and the healthy group were compared.Lo-gistic regression analysis was used to investigate the relationship between these gene polymorphisms and childhood bronchial asthma and its recurrence.Results The genotype frequencies of rs4969169 and rs4969168 loci in the healthy and asthma groups showed no significant difference when compared with expected values(P>0.05),indicating that the distribution was consistent with Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium.The comparison of genotype frequencies of TT,T,AG,and A at the rs9914220 and rs4969170 loci between the asthma and healthy groups showed a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).The comparison of genotype frequencies of CT,TT at the rs4969169 locus and AG,AA at the rs4969168 locus be-tween refractory asthma and non-refractory asthma patients also showed a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Multivariate analysis showed that the TT genotype of rs4969169 and the AA genotype of rs4969168 were significantly asso-ciated with asthma recurrence.Conclusion The TT genotype of the rs4969169 locus and the AA genotype of the rs4969168 locus in the SOCS3 gene are risk factors for childhood bronchial asthma and its recurrence,and they may be related to the development of asthma in children.关键词
