Abstract
Objective This study explored the impact of Pender's health promotion model on pulmonary function and self-ef-ficacy in patients with acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(AECOPD).Methods From March 2021 to March 2024,106 AECOPD patients from our hospital were randomly assigned to control and observation groups(53 each). Both groups received conventional treatment and rehabilitation, while the observation group additionally underwent Pender's health promotion model intervention.Post-intervention disease outcomes, pulmonary function, and self-efficacy scores were compared between the groups. Results The observation group showed shorter times to cough and sputum reso-lution,dyspnea relief, and duration of mechanical ventilation,as well as higher PEF,FVC,VC,and GSES scores than the control group, with significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion Pender's health promotion model is effective in promo-ting pulmonary function and self-efficacy in AECOPD patients and is recommended for wider application.关键词
