Abstract
Objective To analyze the construction of a peripherally inserted central catheter(PICC)patient education plat-form based on an intravenous therapy cloud platform in primary hospitals.Methods Sixty patients undergoing PICC place-ment in our outpatient department from January 2023 to October 2024 were selected as participants.Under the framework of specialized intravenous therapy management,a hospital-nurse-patient communication and follow-up nursing module was developed using the intravenous therapy cloud platform.Additionally,a patient education platform for health education and complication prevention post-PICC placement was established.Eleven hospital staff members were enrolled to receive train-ing,assessment,and quality control management on specialized intravenous therapy knowledge and catheter maintenance skills.The incidence of complications,patient satisfaction,self-management ability scores,and staff core competency scores were compared before and after implementation.Results Post-implementation,the incidence of complications in patients was significantly lower than pre-implementation(P<0.05).Patient satisfaction,self-management ability scores,and staff core compe-tency scores post-implementation were significantly higher than pre-implementation(P<0.05).Conclusion The construction of a PICC patient education platform based on an intravenous therapy cloud platform in primary hospitals increases patient satisfaction and self-management while reducing complication risks,justifying widespread application.关键词
