The Current Application Status of Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine for Pulmonary Rehabilitation in the Stable Stage of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease

Abstract
In the treatment process of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD for short),pulmonary rehabilitation plays a key role,especially during the stable period of COPD,which can reduce acute exacerbations,alleviate respiratory symptoms,im-prove exercise tolerance and quality of life,and effectively lower hospitalization rates and mortality.Both traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine have their own characteristics in pulmonary rehabilitation techniques.Western pulmonary rehabilitation includes drug therapy,oxygen therapy,respiratory exercise training,health management,which can effectively alleviate patients'symptoms and improve their exercise endurance.TCM pulmonary rehabilitation includes exercise techniques,acupuncture and massage,acupoint appli-cation,and internal administration of Chinese drugs.Pulmonary rehabilitation can also achieve good therapeutic effects.At present,the pathogenesis of COPD is not fully understood,and there are still some problems in the research of COPD pulmonary rehabilitation,and they are as follows:Pulmonary rehabilitation is a long-term treatment process,but patients'awareness is insufficient and they fail to ad-here to it;there are no unified and standardized technical operation norms for pulmonary rehabilitation;local hospitals do not attach e-nough importance to pulmonary rehabilitation technology and have not promoted it;and there is a lack of relevant clinical and mecha-nism research.Therefore,in the future,large-scale clinical trials are needed to further explore the mechanism of pulmonary rehabilitation for COPD,so as to better tailor the selection of pulmonary rehabilitation techniques for individuals,actively promote and publicize pul-monary rehabilitation,so that more patients and medical staff can recognize its importance and put it into practice,thereby enabling more COPD patients to benefit from them.关键词
