Abstract
Objective To explore the clinical impact of nursing care based on the fast-track surgery(FTS)concept in elderly patients undergoing fracture surgery.Methods A total of 78 elderly patients who underwent fracture surgery at our hospital from January 2023 to January 2024 were enrolled and randomly divided into a control group and an observation group,with 39 cases in each group.The control group received routine nursing care,while the observation group received FTS-based nursing intervention.Recovery indicators,pain levels,comfort status,incidence of complications,quality of life,and nurs-ing satisfaction were compared between the two groups.Results The observation group had significantly shorter times to ambulation and hospital stay compared to the control group(P<0.05).At 24 and 48 hours postoperatively,the observation group had lower Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)pain scores,and higher General Comfort Questionnaire(GCQ)and WHO Quality of Life-BREF(WHOQOL-BREF)scores(P<0.05).The incidence of complications was lower,and nursing satis-faction was higher in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The implementation of FTS-based nursing care reduced the incidence of postoperative complications—such as pressure ulcers and pulmonary infections—in elderly patients undergoing fracture surgery,promoted recovery,and was well accepted by patients,meriting broader clinical applications.关键词
