Abstract

Norovirus undergoes geographic circulation among humans,oysters,and aquatic environments,potentially facilitated by bacteria acting as intermediate hosts.Research reveals that Pseudomonas composti ODT-54(P.composti)isolated from oyster digestive glands can specifically bind with norovirus.To analyze the distribution of norovirus-binding bacteria P.composti ODT-54 in the environment,this article conducts 16S rRNA amplicon sequencing analysis on 173 samples from different environments,and explores the role of bacteria like P.composti ODT-54 in environmental transmission of norovirus.The results show that P.composti ODT-54 is present in oyster digestive tissues which likely serve as an intermediate host for norovirus transmission in the environment.Moreover,P.composti ODT-54 and three other norovirus-binding bacteria are detected in seawater samples from the Zhoushan fishing ground,while absent in freshwater samples and human fecal samples.In summary,this article investigates the distribution of P.composti ODT-54 and other bacteria in the environment,providing scientific evidence for further understanding and studying the transmission and enrichment mechanisms of norovirus in oyster and similar environments.
