Abstract
Glioblastoma multiforme(GBM),one of the most challenging central nervous system malignancies,is typically treated with surgery,radiotherapy,and chemotherapy.Despite marked advancements in these areas,approximately 90%of GBMs recur within 2 years,mostly near the resection cavity or nearby region.Recurrent GBM lacks a standard care proto-col.As radiotherapy technology advances,re-irradiation has emerged as a viable option for brain tumor patients.Studies suggest that stereotactic radiosurgery(SRS)or stereotactic radiotherapy(SRT),with either hypofractionated or convention-al schedules,may improve survival in recurrent GBM patients.However,the efficacy and toxicity of a second-course radio-therapy remain to be explored.This review focuses on the current status and latest progress of GBM re-irradiation,aiming to offer new treatment directions and clinical benefits for GBM patients.关键词
