Abstract
Objective To analyze the correlation between vitamin A,vitamin D,vitamin E levels and immune function in children with recurrent respiratory tract infections(RRTIs).Methods Thirty-seven children with RRTIs admitted to our hospital from September 2022 to December 2023 were selected as the study group, and 42 healthy children undergoing physi-cal examinations during the same period were included as the control group. Both groups underwent clinical laboratory tes-ting for vitamin A,vitamin D,vitamin E,and immune function indicators.Differences in laboratory results were compared, and correlations between vitamin A/D/E levels and immune function,as well as between immune function and RRTIs,were analyzed. Results In the study group, serum levels of vitamin A,vitamin D,and vitamin E were positively correlated with CD3+,CD4+,and humoral immune function levels, but negatively correlated with CD8+levels(P<0.05).Serum CD3+,CD4+,and humoral immune function indicators were negative predictors of RRTIs,while CD8+was a positive predictor(P<0.05).Conclusion Deficiencies in vitamins A,D,and E may reduce cellular and humoral immune function in chil-dren,increasing the risk of RRTIs.Strengthening supplementation of these vitamins is recommended to mitigate infection risks.关键词
