Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of N-acetylcysteine(NAC)combined with ceftazidime in the treat-ment of respiratory tract infections in children and its effect on FEV1,VT,and PEF levels.Methods A total of 60 children with respiratory tract infections admitted to our hospital from January 2023 to January 2024 were randomly enrolled and di-vided into a control group and a study group(30 cases each)using a random number table.The control group received cefta-zidime alone,while the study group received NAC combined with ceftazidime.Clinical efficacy,pulmonary function indica-tors,and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results The clinical efficacy in the study group was significantly better than that in the control group(P<0.05).There were no significant differences between the two groups in terms of FEV1,VT,and PEF levels before treatment(P>0.05).After treatment,all three pulmonary function indicators significantly improved in both groups,with higher values in the study group compared to the control group(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion The combination of NAC and ceftazidime improved lung function in children with respirato-ry tract infections,offering good efficacy and safety.关键词
