Abstract

In order to analyze the correlation between the potential habitat distribution of Symplectoteuthis oualaniensis in the Northwest Indian Ocean and the marine environment,this study used 2016 Indian Ocean light seine fishing production data and two homologous satellite remote sensing data with latitude and longitude resolutions of 1/4 ° × 1/4° and 1/12 ° × 1/12 °,including sea surface temperature(SST),sea surface salinity(SSS),sea surface height(SSH),mixed layer thickness(MLT),zonal wind velocity(ZWV),and meridional wind velocity(MWV).The maximum entropy model was constructed and the results were compared.In this study,the results of the model evaluation were considered,and the results of the 1/12°× 1/12° resolution model(HRM,higher resolution model)were analyzed.The monthly variation of the potential habitat of S.oualaniensis was analyzed,and the top three environmental factors in the monthly contribution rate were selected to screen out the key influencing factors and their optimal range.The results showed that:1)The area under the curve(AUC)of the maximum entropy model with two resolutions was greater than 0.95;2)Comparing the two resolution models of LRM(1/4 ° × 1/4°resolution model,lower resolution model)and HRM,it was found that there was a large gap between two models in simulating the distribution of S.oualaniensis,and the contribution rate of environmental factors varied greatly in some months.3)S.oualaniensis had the widest habitat distribution in May,which was 54 °-68°E,8°-18 ° N.The distribution area was the most concentrated in September,which was only 60 °-61°E,15°-17 ° N.The distribution in other months was relatively average,all in the range of 56 °-64°E,12 °-18°N;4)The results showed that SST was the long-term key factor,MLT was the significant key factor of periodicity,SSH and SSS were key factors of periodicity,and the optimal range of key environmental factors in each month was obtained.The results showed that the maximum entropy model was suitable for analyzing the habitat distribution of S.oualaniensis,and the importance and optimal range of environmental factors in each month of habitat could be obtained,which could provide scientific references for fishing vessel operation range and fishery management.
