Abstract
Objective This qualitative study aims to deeply explore the psychological experiences and coping strategies of pa-tients with drug-resistant tuberculosis(DR-TB)when facing illness-related uncertainty,providing an empirical basis for de-veloping targeted psychological interventions.Methods Using purposive sampling,22 DR-TB patients hospitalized in our specific department for tuberculosis from August to December 2023 were enrolled.Data were collected through semi-struc-tured interviews and analyzed via content analysis to extract patients'subjective experiences and coping mechanisms in re-sponse to illness uncertainty.Results The study revealed that patients with DR-TB universally experienced negative emo-tions such as fear,anxiety,and helplessness when confronting uncertainty.Coping strategies included actively seeking medi-cal information,relying on family support,adjusting personal mindset,and seeking professional psychological counseling.However,some patients faced challenges such as inadequate access to information and insufficient familial support.Conclu-sion Strengthening social support systems,optimizing information dissemination mechanisms,and implementing tailored psychological interventions are critical for alleviating illness uncertainty in DR-TB patients.Future research should explore more effective psychological strategies to address the mental distress caused by uncertainty.关键词
