Preparation of Ni3S2-Ni3B Heterojunction and Hydrogen Production from Urea Electrooxidation

Abstract
The bifunctional nickel foam self-supported Ni3S2-Ni3B electrocatalyst was synthesized by solid bromizing and hydrothermal method.The phase,morphology and elemental valence of the catalyst were analyzed by XRD,SEM,TEM and XPS,and the electrochemical properties of the catalyst were investigated in the alkaline electrolyte containing urea.The results show that the heterogeneous interface optimizes the electronic structure and exposes a wealth of active sites,and the Ni3S2-Ni3B/NF catalyst exhibits excellent UOR activity,requiring only 1.44 V vs RHE voltage to achieve a current density of 300 mA/cm2.The Ni3S2-Ni3B/NF‖Ni3S2-Ni3B/NF HER-UOR dual electrode system used for urea decoupling hydrogen production can provide a current density of 10 mA/cm2 at a low battery voltage of 1.6 V,and can maintain a faraday efficiency of more than 96%in the voltage range of 1.6~1.9 V.关键词
