Penetration Analysis of Suction Cylinder Foundation for Offshore Wind Turbines

Abstract
Aiming at the uncertainty of suction cylinder foundation installation caused by different soil property parameters and lack of marine engineering experience,a suction cylinder foundation installation and evaluation method based on cone penetration test(CPT)is proposed.Firstly,the penetration resistance formula is established based on CPT.Secondly,the pressure required for installation is evaluated,and the limit value and calculation method of suction required during installation are analyzed.Finally,based on the finite element nonlinear buckling analysis,the critical load pressure value of buckling is determined,and the required penetration pressure and the critical pressure of buckling are compared,so as to evaluate the feasibility of suction cylinder foundation installation.The penetration installation evaluation of the suction cylinder foundation of a certain site is carried out.The results show that the minimum buckling critical load of the suction cylinder foundation is 991.508 kPa when the suction cylinder foundation sinks 10 m,and the maximum pressure required for the penetration of the suction cylinder is 452 kPa.The installation method is feasible and meets the engineering design requirements.关键词
