Abstract
Taking Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region as the study area,five interpolation methods,namely the Inverse Distance Weighted(IDW),Spline,Ordinary Kriging(OK),Local Polynomial Interpolation(LPI),and Radial Basis Function(RBF)methods,were employed to spatially interpolate rainfall data from 89 meteorological stations within the study area and its surroundings.Subsequently,a cross-validation approach was adopted to compare the prediction accuracy of the five interpolation methods,thereby selecting the most suitable interpolation method for Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.The research revealed that the Local Polynomial Interpolation exhibited the highest interpolation accuracy,optimally reflecting the spatially continuous variation characteristics of rainfall within the region.Conversely,the Ordinary Kriging method demonstrated the lowest interpolation accuracy,with simulation results tending to produce the"Bull's-Eye"effect.The research findings can provide relevant guidance for selecting rainfall interpolation models that capture the spatio-temporal distribution of rainfall in Inner Mongolia and offer insights for related studies.关键词
