Seismic Failure Risk Assessment of 750 kV Arresters in Typical Porcelain Post-Type Electrical Equipment

Abstract
In order to study the fragility and failure risk of electrical equipment,the typical porcelain post-type arrester was taken as the research object.Two seismic intensity parameters were selected:peak ground acceleration(PGA)and spectral acceleration corresponding to the fundamental period of the equipment.The influence of different site conditions on the vulnerability calculation results was considered.Using the incremental dynamic analysis(IDA)method,fragility curves for the arrester under different site conditions were obtained.Combined with a probabilistic seismic hazard model,the failure risks of the arrester under three site conditions and different fortification intensities were calculated.The results show that,compared to PGA,using spectral acceleration at the fundamental period of the electrical equipment as the seismic intensity parameter reduces the uncertainty in structural seismic capacity caused by the randomness of ground motions.The dispersion of fragility curves across different sites is lower,and the calculated failure risk under the same site condition is smaller.The failure risk of the arrester is higher in Class Ⅲsites,indicating that special attention should be paid to the failure risk of electrical equipment in such sites.关键词
