摘要

Abstract

Accurate precipitation estimation with high spatial and temporal resolution is crucial for regional hydrological simula-tion and water resources management.To investigate the applicability of satellite precipitation products with high spatial and tem-poral resolution in the Jinsha River Basin,spatial distribution characteristics of annual average daily precipitation,spatial distribu-tion of errors,and the performance in different climatic years and altitude regions of three satellite precipitation products(CHIR-PS,IMERG,and GSMaP)were comprehensively analyzed using statistical and classification indexes.This analysis was based on rain gauge observations provided by the China Meteorological Administration.The results show that:① The spatial distribution characteristics of all satellite precipitation products are similar,showing an increasing trend from the northwest to the southeast in the Jinsha River Basin.② GSMaP shows a higher correlation(CC=0.66),a lower root mean squared error(RMSE=6.38),and a stronger detection ability for precipitation events(POD=0.72,FAR=0.29).In addition,the accuracies of all satellite precipi-tation products are consistently higher during wet years compared to dry years.③ GSMaP consistently demonstrates superior per-formance compared to other satellite precipitation products across various altitude zones.Relatively,the accuracies of all satellite precipitation products are higher in high-altitude than in low-altitude regions.Generally,GSMaP has the highest accuracy,which can provide data support for disaster prevention and reduction and hydrological simulation in the Jinsha River Basin.
