In response to the pain points of the traditional tractor shunt winch system,such as high maintenance costs,high failure rates,significant weather dependency,and low safety factors,an intelligent tractor was designed and implemented in a port bulk terminal.This innovation replaced the conventional winch system with a purely electric drive and an automatic control system.This paper details the mechanical design of the intelligent locomotive,the selection of the traction motor,and comparisons of various control scheme technical routes.It also introduces the improved speed control security curve design,the pseudo-range differential base station,a positioning system that integrates transponders with GPS,an obstacle identification system based on multi-sensor fusion,and the battery management system.This study provides feasible technical routes and demonstrative case studies for the intelligent upgrading of port equipment.It holds significant economic value,practical importance,and promising development prospects.
