Construction of safe management protocols for enteral nutrition in adult patients supported by ECMO

Abstract
Objective:To develop a safety management protocol for enteral nutrition in adult patients undergoing extracorporeal membrane oxygenation(ECMO)and to provide a theoretical basis for clinical practice.Methods:By retrieving domestic and international database literature,reading and summarizing the evidence,a preliminary safety management protocol for enteral nutrition in ECMO patients was formulated.From May to August 2023,two rounds of expert consultations were conducted by using the Delphi method to revise and improve the protocol.Results:A total of 17 experts completed the two rounds of consultations,The recovery rates of questionnaires of the two rounds were 100.0%and 94.4%respectively.The expert authority coefficients of two rounds were 0.899 and 0.902 respectively.In the second round of consultations,the coefficient of variation for each indicator ranged from 0.00 to 0.22,And the Kendall's W coefficients for the first,second,and third-level indicators were 0.261,0.419,and 0.236 respectively(all P<0.05).The final safety management protocol for enteral nutrition in ECMO-supported patients included 3 first-level indicators,9 second-level indicators,and 26 third-level indicators.Conclusions:The developed safety management protocol for enteral nutrition in adult ECMO-supported patients demonstrates good scientific rigor and standardization.It may provide a guidance for clinical interventions.关键词
