Abstract
Objective:To analyze the age inflection point and influencing factors of impaired activities of daily living(ADL)among the elderly in China.Methods:Based on the data of the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study(CHARLS),the elderly aged 60 and above were included.The receiver operating characteristic curve(ROC)was used to explore the age inflection point of ADL impairment.And the impacts of demographic data,lifestyle,physical health status and other factors on ADL impairment among the elderly were analyzed further.Results:The incidence of ADL impairment among the elderly in China was 30.1%.The results of ROC curve analysis showed that the area under the curve(AUC)of age predicting ADL impairment among the elderly was 0.832(95%CI 0.771-0.893).And the age inflection point of ADL impairment among the elderly was 73.5 years old.Age,place of residence,monthly income,participation in social activities,exercise,and pain were influencing factors of ADL impairment among the elderly in China.Conclusions:The age inflection point of ADL impairment among the elderly in China is 73.5 years old.And age has a high predictive effect on ADL impairment among the elderly.ADL impairment is affected by various factors such as age,place of residence,and monthly income.Relevant departments should adopt targeted intervention measures to improve the ADL of the elderly.关键词
