摘要

Abstract

Objective To compare the effects of Angelicae Sinensis Radix(ASR)from different origins on renal function and histomor-phology in mice.Methods Normal experimental mice were continuously administered with ASR from different regions[1.875 g/(kg·d),containing 0.1 g/mL raw herb]for 22 days.Blood urea nitrogen(BUN)in serum,serum creatinine(Scr),lactate dehydrogenase(LDH)levels,superoxide dismutase(SOD)activity in renal tissue cells,and renal tissue morphology were measured.Results ASR from all regions reduced BUN and Scr contents in serum,decreased LDH activity(P<0.05),and increased SOD activity in renal tissue cells(P<0.05),with no abnormal changes in renal morphology.ASR of Linxia showed stronger effects in reducing BUN,and ASR from Min County and Weiyuan County had a stronger effect in lowering SCR.ASR from Linxia and Li County exhibited greater reduction in serum LDH,and that of Weiyuan significantly enhanced renal SOD activity.No histomorphological abnormalities of ASR from different origins were observed in any group.Conclusion Prolonged administration(22 consecutive days)of ASR from Min County,Weiyuan County,Linxia,Li County and Yunnan regions can improve the antioxidant capacity of experimental mice,reduce oxidative products,and demonstrate protective effects on the renal tissues without causing damage.
