Development of a secondary prevention cognition assessment scale for young and middle-aged stroke patients based on the Delphi method

Abstract
Objective:To develop a secondary prevention cognition assessment scale for young and middle-aged stroke patients,and provide a scientific and objective assessment tool for the cognitive assessment of secondary prevention in young and middle-aged stroke patients.Methods:Based on the theoretical framework of the Health Belief Model,the initial scale was formed by condensing existing stroke secondary prevention guidelines,expert consensus semi-structured interviews,etc.The scale was revised through two rounds of Delphi expert consultation by mail.Results:The recovery rates of the two-round scale were 100.0%and 95.7%respectively,the expert authority coefficients were 0.937 and 0.939 respectively,and the Kendall's coefficient of concordance was 0.190 and 0.158 respectively(P<0.001).Finally,a secondary prevention cognition assessment scale for young and middle-aged stroke patients was formed,which encompasses six dimensions:disease susceptibility,disease severity,benefits of action,barriers to action,self-efficacy,and action cues,along with 37 items.Conclusions:The secondary prevention cognition assessment scale for young and middle-aged stroke patients constructed based on the Delphi method has good reliability and scientificity.It could be used as an assessment tool for the secondary prevention cognitive ability of young and middle-aged stroke patients.关键词
