Abstract

The aging issue of Bohai Oilfield platforms is becoming increasingly prominent.In the disposal methods of aging platforms,reusing jacket for wind turbine foundations is a good practical exploration,in order to realise the reuse of the residual value of the jacket.However,due to the lack of relevant research experience,it is necessary to study the feasibility assessment process and evaluation methods of reusing jackets as offshore wind turbine foundations.Taking the reuse of an aging platform in the Bohai Oilfield as the engineering background,an evaluation process was developed.Based on this process and the offshore inspection results,an overall calculation model for the jacket was established,fully simulating the actual state of the jacket.The static characteristics,natural vibration characteristics,seismic characteristics and fatigue characteristics of jacket when used as wind turbine foundation were analyzed.The differences between jacket as an oil platform foundation and as a wind turbine foundation were compared.The results indicate that,when used as a wind turbine foundation,the vertical load on the jacket decreases,as do the natural frequency and seismic load,but the horizontal bending moment and the fatigue damage increases.The jacket has been proven to have sufficient redundancy to meet the conditions for reuse as wind turbine foundation.The research results can provide design insight for the reuse of disposal jacket in Bohai Oilfield.
