Frontiers of global deepwater oil and gas exploration and development and opportunities for Chinese oil companies to expand cooperation

Abstract
"Advancing into deep formations on land and deepwater at sea"has become an important trend in oil and gas exploration and development.Deepwater and ultra-deep water areas are becoming the primary contributors to new discoveries and reserve additions in global oil and gas exploration.This paper provides an in-depth analysis of the layouts of major international oil companies in global deepwater oil and gas exploration hotspots and key blocks,elaborating on frontier technologies and equipment for deepwater oil and gas exploration and development,including geophysical exploration,drilling completion operations,and marine engineering.Based on a summary of the opportunities and challenges faced by Chinese oil companies in entering the deepwater oil and gas sector,this paper also offers recommendations for their future engagement in international deepwater oil and gas cooperation.关键词
