Strengthening Targeted Cultivation of Bamboo Forests to Empower the Resource Foundation for"Bamboo as a Substitute for Plastic"

Abstract
Against the backdrop of global advocating green and low-carbon development,"bamboo as a substitute for plastic"has emerged as a new engine for green economy.Targeted cultivation of bamboo forests is a crucial approach to achieving efficient and sustainable utilization of bamboo resources.China takes a lead in international bamboo resource cultivation technology,and yet most targeted bamboo forest cultivation models focus primarily on productivity,lacking a systematic and close alignment with the needs of bamboo products processing.Under these models,the demand for specialized raw materials cannot be met in order to produce diverse bamboo products as a substitute for plastic.From the perspective of resource cultivation for"bamboo as a substitute for plastic",this paper explores the connotation of targeted bamboo forest cultivation and its significance,elaborates on its technical principles,and demonstrates its application using Phyllostachys edulis(moso bamboo)and Bambusa rigida as examples.In the future,targeted bamboo forest cultivation should prioritize the selection of specialized bamboo species,the precise orientation of management objectives,the promotion of technological innovation,and the establishment of intelligent and dynamic cultivation systems,aiming to address diverse market demands and ecological conservation requirements and support the sustainable utilization of bamboo resources and the healthy development of the"bamboo as a substitute for plastic"industry.关键词
