Abstract

The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of exogenous brassinolide on Leymus chinensis seed germination and physiological characteristics of seedlings.The test materials were selected as Zhongke No.1 Leymus chinensis seeds,and five treatments were set,10 replicates were set for each treatment,and 50 Leymus chinensis seeds were selected for each replicate.Leymus chinensis seeds were soaked in 2,4-epibrassinolide solution(EBR)at different concentrations(0,0.05,0.10,0.20,and 0.30 mg/L)for 48 h,and 0 mg/L was treated as CK.The results showed that 0.05 mg/L EBR induced the highest germination rate,root length,soluble sugar(SS)content,and peroxidase(POD)activity of seedlings,which were increased by 25.56%,13.13%,70.41%,and 33.79%,respectively,compared with CK treatment.The soluble protein(SP)content and seedling length of Leymus chinensis seedlings were the highest in 0.10 mg/L EBR,which increased by 183.21%and 24.02%,respectively,compared with CK treatment.EBR priming reduced the chlorophyll a(Chla),chlorophyll b(Chlb),carotenoid(Car),chlorophyll(Chl)and superoxide dismutase(SOD)activities of Leymus chinensis seedlings.The results show that EBR priming has a dual effect on seed germination,and the EBR concentration is 0.05 mg/L.
