Abstract

This study aimed to clarify the genetic rule of crude protein content in forage rapeseed plants,providing a theoretical foundation for the genetic improvement of high-protein forage rapeseed.Two parental materials,21SL-239 and 21SL-756,with significant differences in crude protein content,were used to construct six generations of genetic populations(P1,P2,F1,F2,B1 and B2).A mixed inheritance model combining major genes and polygenes was applied to analyze the genetic patterns of crude protein content in forage rapeseed plants at the bolting stage.The results showed that the optimal genetic model for crude protein content was PG-ADI,indicating polygenic control with additive,dominant,and epistatic effects.The heritability values for F2,B1,and B2 populations were 65.41%,57.94%,and 29.76%,respectively.The study indicates that crude protein content in forage rapeseed plants at the bolting stage is co-regulated by polygenes and environmental factors.Directional selection for crude protein content in the F2 population and the B1 population(using high-protein materials as recurrent parents)holds practical significance for genetic enhancement.
