Abstract

To investigate the effects of different seed mixing agents and soil cover thickness on the germination of Salvia miltiorrhiza seeds,Salvia miltiorrhiza seeds were used as raw materials and treated with two seed mixing agents,namely fludioxonil and carbendaz-im.The germination characteristics of Salvia miltiorrhiza seeds were studied by combining different soil cover thicknesses.The results showed that the germination effect of Salvia miltiorrhiza seeds treated with soil cover thickness of 0 cm+1.25 g·L-1 concentration of pyroxene was the best,with germination rate,germination potential,and germination index of 59.17%,51.67%,and 16.22%,respec-tively.Compared with soil cover thickness of 0 cm alone,the germination rate,germination potential,and germination index increased by 17.09%,19.59%,and 75.73%,respectively;The germination rate of the treatment with soil cover thickness of 0 cm+2.5 g·L-1 concentration of pyroxene was only 13.75%,which was 28.33%lower than that of the treatment with soil cover thickness of 0 cm alone.The germination rate of Salvia miltiorrhiza seeds treated with 0.05%carbendazim showed no significant difference compared to the control group;The germination rate of Salvia miltiorrhiza seeds treated with 0.1%concentration of carbendazim was significantly reduced compared to those covered with 0 cm soil alone.In summary,the reasonable application of seed dressing agents can effectively improve the germination level of Salvia miltiorrhiza seeds,and different soil cover thicknesses also have a significant impact on the germination of Salvia miltiorrhiza seeds.Optimizing the two factors of seed mixture and soil cover thickness has a promoting effect on improving the germination level of Salvia miltiorrhiza.Seeds.
