珍珠棉颗粒土垫层与砂土垫层的力学性能比较
Comparison of mechanical properties between expandable polyethylene granular soil and sand soil cushion

Abstract
To investigate the energy dissipation and shock absorption characteristics of expandable polyethylene(EPE)granular soil cushion layers,a 1:10 geometrically scaled indoor test model was constructed for impact testing on EPE granular soil cushions.Comparative experiments were conducted by laying either sand soil or EPE granular soil cushions respectively atop the roof slab of a shed-tunnel structure.A 5.52 kg iron ball was dropped from a height of 0.8 m to simulate free-fall impacts and to reveal structural response mechanisms under both cushion conditions.Results demonstrated that compared with sand cushion,the EPE granular soil cushion achieved a 25.07%reduction in peak stress at the roof slab's abdominal center and a 59.37%decrease in column compressive stress.Furthermore,1:1 scaled numerical models based on smoothed particle hydrodynamics and finite element numerical model were developed.Numerical calculations revealed that the EPE granular soil cushion reduced the central roof stress by 25.59%,the peak roof displacement by 22.22%,the column compressive stress by 42.02%,and the impact acceleration by 21.84%compared with the sand cushion.Practical engineering simulations further indicated that under EPE cushion conditions,the peak stress at roof slab's abdominal center decreased by 20.56%and the peak acceleration of falling rocks reduced by 26.01%relative to sand cushion conditions,the cushioning and seismic reduction effect of EPE granular soil cushion layer is significant.These research findings provide theoretical support for the design of protective structures against hazardous rockfalls at tunnel portals.关键词
