Abstract

Objective To explore the mediating roles of clinical belongingness and career identity be-tween the clinical learning environment and work readiness of standardized training nurses.Methods From September to December 2023,a total of 402 nurses were selected as the research objects by convenience sam-pling method from four tertiary hospitals in the main urban area and districts of Chongqing,and were investi-gated by general data questionnaire,graduate nurses'job readiness scale,clinical learning environment evalua-tion scale,clinical belonging scale and nurses'professional identity scale.Amos23.0 was used to construct a structural equation model,and the relationship between the four variables of the training nurses was analyzed and tested.Results The total score of nurses'work readiness in standardized training was(274.48±42.18)points,and the standard score was(69.32±12.75)points.There were positive correlations among the four variables(P<0.001).The mediation model revealed that the direct effect of clinical learning environment on work readiness was significant(β=0.260,P<0.01).Besides,clinical learning environment could also affect work readiness through three pathways:the independent mediating effect of clinical belongingness(β=0.126,P<0.05),the independent mediating effect of career identity(β=0.072,P<0.05),and the chain mediating effect of clinical belongingness and career identity(β=0.087,P<0.05),with the mediating effects accounting for 52.29%of the total effects.Conclusion Clinical belongingness and career identity serve as a mediating role between standardized training nurses'clinical learning environment and work readiness.And nursing teachers or managers can improve work readiness by enhancing the clinical belongingness and cultivating ca-reer identity.
