Abstract

Abstrac:Located in the western part of Xiangshan uranium ore field,Heyuanbei area hosts substantial deep-seated polymetallic mineralization.The metallogenic characteristics,processes,mechanisms,and relationship with uranium mineralization in this polymetallic mineralization have become a focal issue in the geological research of Xiangshan orefield.This study employs SIMS in-situ sulfur isotope analysis to investigate micro-scale sulfur isotopes in pyrites from polymetallic mineralization at different depths and host rocks in Heyuanbei area.Research findings reveal that sulfur isotope compositions of polymetallic pyrites in Heyuanbei area from 3.9‰ to 6.9‰ with an average of 4.9‰,showing characteristics similar to that of volcanic rocks in volcanic basins.This indicated a magmatic sulfur source derived from volcanic rocks.Comparative analysis of pyrite sulfur isotopes from different depths and host rocks demonstrated there were significant fluid-rock interactions during polymetallic mineralization in Heyuanbei area,and the deeper mineralization with greater influence from the metamorphic basement.
