摘要

Abstract

The hydraulic properties and mass transfer characteristics of a pulsed cross-flow sieve plate extraction column were investigated with phenol-containing wastewater extraction system,and the separation of phenol was realized.The results show that dispersed-phase holdup(xd)decreases gradually with the increase of pulse intensity(Af)and then increases,and xd reaches the minimum value at the Af of 0.0126 m/s,the Sauter mean(d32)decreases with the Af increasing,and the d32 decreases to about 1.3 mm at the Af of 0.0272 m/s.With the increase of two-phase flow rate,the xd increases,but the phase flowrate has no significant effect on the d32.As the Af increases,the extraction efficiency of phenol decreases first and then increases,which finally reaches 98.96%.The mass transfer coefficient was obtained using the axial diffusion model,and a prediction model was developed.The average relative error between experimental and calculated results was less than 10%,which provide a fundamental help for the equipment design and application.
